MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

LOGO UPDATE

     If you ask any Grizzlies fan, “what’s your favorite logo the team has ever had?,” more often than not, the answer would be the logo from the team’s tenure in Vancouver. The logo was one of the best the NBA has ever seen, and deserves a chance to be given new life.

     The current identity is a bit stale, leaving fans begging the team to use their throwback set nearly every game. The proposed Grizzlies logo update created as a result of this logo case study pays respects to the iconic Vancouver Grizzlies logo, with a Memphis flare and modern aesthetic.

     The Grizzlies have the makings of a bright future, led by one of the most exciting rookies in the league, Ja Morant - who has already become a fan favorite and jersey best-seller. With all eyes on the young phenom, the lack of an exciting team identity becomes more glaring than usual.

     For the Memphis Grizzlies, the time is now to update their identity, to kick off a new era in their franchise history. Check out the images below to see the proposed identity of the Grizzlies in 2020.
